The D-Link® VoiceCenter™ for Microsoft® Response Point™ is an IP-based phone system designed for small- to medium-sized businesses. With support for up to 50 users, VoiceCenter provides numerous advantages over traditional PSTN (analog) phone systems while retaining the reliability of PSTN phone lines1 for accepting inbound and making outbound calls.
VoiceCenter is easy to set up, manage and maintain. With the Response Point operating system it takes a short amount of time to get the phone system up and running.
VoiceCenter is also portable. Businesses that need to relocate offices can easily take the phone system along. In addition, VoiceCenter provides state-of-the-art features such as voice-activated dialing and voicemail access, automated attendant for routing calls, call logs for managing phone usage and automatic phone and gateway discovery that allows for a simplified setup process.
Owning your own phone system is affordable and manageable with VoiceCenter and Response Point.
Before you buy, check that you have the following Response Point SP2 system requirements in place:
A working local area network (LAN) with Internet access.
One or more regular phone line(s) that can make and receive external calls. Anything with a standard RJ-11 plug—just like your home phones—should work fine.
Response Point requires at least one PC run one of the following system programs:
Microsoft Windows XP Professional or Home Edition, with Service Pack 2 (SP2)
Windows Vista®
Windows Server® 2003 R2 SP2 or later
Windows Small Business Server 2003 R2 or later
NOTE: You can take advantage of additional phone system features if you have multiple Windows PCs at each office location.
A DHCP server to dynamically assign IP addresses to new devices on your network.
If you're like most small offices, this is built into your router. If you're able to connect a new PC and access the Internet without trouble, you're probably OK.
Ethernet cabling to each location where you intend to use the phones.
A monitor with screen resolution of at least 800x600.
